South Africa Compliance
VSL serves South African users with privacy and security controls designed around POPIA. Payment and digital-asset features are enabled only where the relevant provider and transaction type are supported.
POPIA and personal information
VSL applies privacy and security controls to the personal information used in South African commerce workflows.
The Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) requires appropriate protection for personal information. VSL identifies the purpose of collection, limits data to the workflow, restricts sensitive information, controls access, records relevant provider disclosures and maintains safeguards as the system and risks change.
Public marketplace information is kept distinct from KYC/KYB, private messages, payment destinations, provider credentials, risk records and security events.
Vendor and processor relationships
VSL records the function each external provider performs instead of applying one legal label to every vendor.
Payment, mapping, messaging, delivery, hosting and security providers can process VSL data as operators/processors or as independent controllers depending on the service. VSL documents the purpose, categories of information shared, security controls, transfer context and the data returned to VSL for the workflow.
Payments and digital assets
VSL enables a financial rail only after the provider and transaction are eligible for that use.
Busha currently lists South Africa among countries supported for crypto transactions. VSL presents that as provider capability, not as evidence that VSL itself is licensed for a South African financial service or that Busha fiat payout functionality is available for every VSL transaction.
Where VSL uses another payment or crypto provider, the provider's KYC, transaction-purpose, country, asset, network, limits and risk controls continue to apply.
Regulatory and provider references
Primary regulator, government and provider materials used to frame this public compliance overview. External documents can change; VSL reviews the applicable source before relying on it for a launch or feature decision.
