Frequently Asked Questions

Answers and guidance for procurement teams using our B2B social sourcing platform (sourcing, quoting, payments, deliveries, inspections).

General & Sourcing
  • Sign up for a buyer account, verify your company information, and complete your shipping address. Use the "Upload a Product" (UPL) flow to submit images (2 recommended), technical specs, quantity, packaging preferences and incoterms. Suppliers will respond with structured quotes that you can review and message directly for clarifications.

Tip: Provide clear photos, target tolerances, and an example of acceptable packaging — the more complete the UPL, the better the quotes you receive.

  • UPL = Upload (structured RFQ). Include high-resolution images (front/back/close-up), technical specs (materials, dimensions, tolerances), target quantity, packaging, required certifications, lead time expectations and desired incoterms. Note any custom artwork or labelling and whether samples are required.

  • Supplier verification includes business registration checks, trade references, on-platform performance (historical orders, buyer feedback), and, where applicable, third-party verification reports. Verified suppliers display badges and reliability scores to help buyers shortlist partners.

  • Quotes are standardized to show unit price, currency, MOQ, tooling/sample costs, lead time, and shipping/incoterm details. Compare quotes by total landed cost (including shipping, duties, inspection) rather than unit price alone.

  • We support multiple payment flows depending on supplier preferences and buyer region. For online card and local payment processing in supported countries, we integrate with trusted payment gateways including Flutterwave for selected markets. For large or international transactions we recommend escrow or milestone-based payments and partner with recommended escrow providers. Payment terms (deposit, milestone payments, final balance) are agreed between buyer and supplier during quotation and order confirmation.

Note on Flutterwave: If a supplier accepts Flutterwave or a similar PSP in your jurisdiction, payment capture and reconciliation are handled via the PSP. Always verify payment instructions with the supplier and prefer in-platform payment flows where available.

  • Buyers specify incoterms (EXW/FOB/CIF/DAP/DDP) during UPL to ensure quotes reflect logistics responsibility. We provide recommended freight forwarders and customs brokers for common trade lanes. Deliverability depends on supplier capacity, lead times and chosen incoterm — review lead time and shipping method on each quote.

Delivery tips: confirm packaging unitization (palletization), HS codes and required certificates early. For sensitive or regulated items, coordinate with your customs broker before shipment to reduce clearance delays.

  • Yes. We partner with third-party inspection providers for pre-shipment inspections and quality audits. Inspection reports can be attached to orders and used to trigger payment release (milestones) or remediation if goods do not meet agreed specifications.

  • Returns and claims are handled between buyer and supplier per the agreed commercial terms and any inspection report evidence. We provide tools to record disputes and attach evidence, but platform involvement in dispute resolution varies by account level. For enterprise accounts, dedicated support and mediation options are available.

  • Yes — enterprise services include dedicated sourcing assistance, supplier shortlisting, custom procurement workflows and account management. Contact enterprise@yourdomain.com to discuss your project requirements and SLAs.

Advanced Topics & Guidance

On customs, HS codes and certification

It is best to identify HS codes and required certificates (e.g., CE, RoHS, FDA) early. If a supplier cannot provide necessary certificates, engage your compliance partner or ask for third-party testing prior to mass production.

Supplier negotiation best practices

  • Request detailed quotes that separate tooling/samples, unit price, packaging and shipping.
  • Use sample orders to validate quality before committing to large orders.
  • Negotiate lead times and MOQ; consider cost/benefit of multiple smaller orders vs larger bulk orders.
